Hey guys sorry for being Missing In Action for so long real life tends to get a strangle hold and it can be hard to get back in the swing of things. I am hoping to be bringing more content and some more fun stuff in the near future, finishing some of my earlier projects, and just generally being more active around here. This my friends is probably one of the coolest gadgets I have ever had the pleasure of buying. If you have ever tried to play a vintage video game rom on your PC you know how tired your fingers can get pressing keys on the keyboard instead of holding an actual controller. Emulation is booming with the advent of retro gaming becoming popular and our friends over at retrousb.com have brought us a little bit of geek happiness.

What you get is a very simple little black NES controller port which runs through to a USB end that plugs nice and neat into your PC. The amazing thing about this is it has all the drivers buildt in so its usable with Windows, Mac, and Linux. Once plugged in it is automatically read as an additional joystick and all that's left is to plug in your favorite NES controller and your ready to rock. My only complaint and its a very minor one with this is that when you first place the controller into the adapter its kind of a rough fit and might take you a minute or two to get it nestled in where it belongs, but once you do prepare for hours of gaming as it was meant to be.

Retrousb.com did not stop at just the NES, they also created adapters for SNES, Sega, Atari, and a NES or SNES adapter for your Wii or Game Cube. With the feature of playing what are essentially roms on your Wii this small investment can go a long ways for bringing back the good ol days of gaming with your friends. I know ill be getting an additional SNES version for my PC in the near future.

Lastly on the PC side of things this controller works great with a little freeware program called joy2key which allows you to use any joystick you have for any application. Having tested this myself I found some arcade classics much more enjoyable while running M.A.M.E. using this setup to use a controller it would not have otherwise recognized. Think of the applications of an SNES controller being used for your WoW raids.


Overall definitely one of the best simple to use gadgets I have ever bought and I look forward to being a repeat customer.

With the news being out now for a while on a live action G.I. Joe film coming out this summer, I couldn't resist the chance to do my first ever lets play over my favorite Joe game. GIJ - the Atlantis factor was a fun, easy to play side scroller by Capcom. The only thing the game was missing was the baroness....oh yes the baroness...she could command my cobra anytime of the week. Ok I sort of apologise for that remark.

Movie Pandemonium - Lesbian Vampire Killers

With a name like that the first thing that comes to mind is a cheesy porno movie, am I right? Fortunately our friends over in Britain have brought us yet another great tongue in cheek "horror" movie.

The story follows Jimmy and Fletch, two stereotypical guys drowning their sorrows at the local pub after a rough day of getting dumped for the 7th time and punching a 7 year old respectfully. Having almost no money, Jimmy comes up with the idea to go for a hiking trip for the weekend to forget their ills. Being too drunk, too smashed, to argue, Fletch goes along with the idea. However, he seriously doubts there will be all that many women for them to try and hook up with. Letting fate direct them via the all mighty dart of destiny, they head to a remote village in Wales.


It's at this point that the music begins to be noticeable. With the introduction of the female lead and her friends heading off to party in the Scooby mobile, we hear Wolfmother's "Woman" key up which definitely kicks the movie forward and sets the pace for the rest of the movie. The music continues this clean transition throughout, and keeps a light, fun, energetic feel.


Now comes a bit of the negative. The acting is, well, bland. Jimmy could easily be replaced with just about any other British actor and you would probably get more of a rise out of hearing him speak. You get the feeling that maybe today just wasn't his day for acting. If this had been a more serious film I would be a bit more bothered. Don't even get me started on the college girls. *cringes* My head hurt just listening to them attempt to do their lines. Thankfully they are few and far between, and quickly forgotten. The special effects were anything but special. And while comical in an absurd way, it does grow old to see goo spew from the vampires.


Thankfully the positives certainly outweigh the negatives here. Fletcher, while at times is a tad crude and is placed in a few situations that seem a bit over the top, had many great one liners. The slapstick humor is definitely a hallmark of great British comedy and it shines brightly in this film. I recall a particular scene in which a woodsman's axe comes into play which certainly brings a sense of completeness that is not only extremely humorous, but comes off unexpectedly in delivery and is very satisfying.


Following in the footsteps of movies such as Shaun of the Dead and Vampires Anonymous, Lesbian Vampire Killers brings together a good, healthy dose of laughs with only a few setbacks. And while many other critics want to bash this movie for its juvenile comedy, I want to reiterate the point that it is called LESBIAN VAMPIRE KILLERS. Anyone who comes in to watching this movie expecting that it is serious needs to meet the business end of a clue-by-four.

Welcome to my latest creation on the web. My name is Elmorte and I love reviewing movies, games, and random things all across the web. I have some ideas for some great segments here on blogspot and plan to bring updates on a daily or every other day basis. Unfortunately being massively underpaid in my current position i can only afford ramen noodles and the occasional bottle of sweet and sour sauce.
